Finance Assistant (Sales Ledger/Credit Control)

£20,000 - £22,000 pa + Contributory pension

Bespoke Recruitment is currently working exclusively with a local Rugby client, helping them recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join their Rugby HQ. Working in a small transactional finance team you will assume responsibility to all aspects of the Sales Ledger and Credit Control for the company.

As Finance Assistant you will:

Report to the Transactional Finance Lead and work alongside a team of fellow Finance officers in a close-knit team. The main focus of your role will be to

  • Processing payments received from all customers including BACS, Cheques and DD payments
  • Reconcile credit card and DD receipts daily
  • Chasing debtors for any outstanding debts owed including distribution of any appropriate letters/administration
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Effectively deal with any queries through to a successful resolution
  • Support the wider finance function where applicable

Your experience:

You will have previous experience of working in a transactional finance team and have in-depth experience of dealing with all aspects of Credit Control with a very "customer service" focussed approach. Our client is currently going through a period of change, including the upgrade of their Finance systems so you will need to be able to deal with change and be comfortable picking up and using new systems.  You will need to be familiar with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook, training will be offered on the current and new financial systems.
