Ok, so you’re probably wondering what an Onboarding Assistant is, I know I was. It's not a role where you’ll be welcoming passengers aboard the latest cruise liner, although I am sure that would be fun. The role of Onboarding Assistant will focus on offering support to our clients’ Account Management team in welcoming new clients to their portfolio, ensuring that their onboarding process is a smooth and enjoyable one. Look at it as a kind of Trainee Account Management role, our client envisages the successful person progressing to be an integral part of their Account Management team.

As the Onboarding Assistant your role will involve:
Your key focus will be to ensure the smooth, efficient and timely onboarding process for all new partners, ensuring a “world-class” service at all times. Typically you can expect to:
- Manage all onboarding processes and administration in line with company guidelines
- Ongoing management of client files, ensuring that all essential timelines are met and that any documentation complies with relevant legislation
- Liaise with all relevant external parties to ensure the appropriate documents are held on file and chasing up such documentation where applicable
- Escalation of any queries to the appropriate parties
- Support the Senior Client Account Manager with their day to day tasks
- Liaise with internal teams to help establish and maintain strong customer/client relationships
- Support the wider team in ongoing project work
What are they looking for in you?

In return, they would welcome applications from individuals with a strong customer service background (it really is at the top of their desires list). Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will be put to great use here. “Engagement” is a keyword here, you will need to be able to demonstrate where you have previously gone that extra mile to build a strong rapport with customers. Previous experience in managing external contracts and liaising with suppliers would be advantageous.
