About our client:
Our client operates in the fast-paced, consultative IT Sector, with the UK forming part of a group of international entities reporting into the Group’s European based HQ. Joining a 100+ UK workforce, this role presents a great opportunity for you to join the local finance function (8 people) that will offer great opportunities for career progression. They are currently going through a period of exciting transition which has resulted in the need to create this new role to further enhance the provision of commercial insight to the business. The group has been successfully surpassing the expectations of its customers for over 6 decades now and has a global workforce of over 1400 employees. They have a very strong "Service" ethic and are seeking a like-minded qualified accounting professional to further strengthen its UK team.
As Management Accountant you will:
Be presented the opportunity to apply your financial and commercial acumen to overcome the challenges presented by this period of transformation. The role will be based predominantly at the Warwickshire office, with opportunities likely for the occasional UK and International travel. Reporting directly to the CFO, your responsibilities will include -
- Revenue and Margin reporting including analysis, forecasting/budgeting and provision of estimates
- Support the Month-end process in collaboration with the local finance team
- Reconciliation of appropriate aspects of the Balance Sheet, dealing with any discrepancies
- Drive internal stakeholder relationships to identify and communicate key business drivers
- Take the lead on internal reporting and any ad-hoc analysis to aid strategic business decisions
- Support the annual budgeting process in line with the business plan, forecasting and financial planning process
Skills required:
Technical
Our client is interested in speaking with qualified (ACCA/CIMA) candidates who have worked in a commercially focused Management Accounting role previously. You will need to have a naturally investigative mindset to help support, improve and challenge the status quo. You will need to be able to bring a strong understanding of the Management Accounting cycle (incl Balance sheet reconciliations) as well as a strong process-improvement mindset. Previous experience of working within the IT sector and/or SAP experience would be highly advantageous. Due to the technical requirements of this role, you will need to have a high level of Excel capability (Ideally to VBA level).

Your ability to interact and influence finance and non-finance colleagues will be put to great use in this role.
