Financial Controller – Lichfield
*Part-time – 22/25 hours (Flexible) - (£40,000 - £45,000 Pro Rata)
Have you ever wanted to work for an employer who truly puts their employee's well-being at the heart of their culture…well here’s your chance?
We are working with an award-winning, market-leading, dynamic organisation that put the well-being and the investment of time into their employees as TOP Priority. In addition to a competitive salary, their benefits suite is far too extensive to list here but to give you a flavour, includes several employee recognition schemes, Health and Wellbeing initiatives, flexible working and opportunities to engage in frequent charity events.
So what’s involved:
Your role as Financial Controller is required for 22 – 25 hours a week, allowing you plenty of time to juggle all of those other tasks that life throws at you. We’re not too fussy about how you’d like to work those hours either if you prefer 3 regular days or 5 part days we’re happy to consider all options.
You’ll be heading up a small team of finance professionals who will benefit from your mentorship and positive leadership skills. Collectively helping the finance function deliver business continuity and manage and mitigate any financial risks whilst continuing to push forward development opportunities for yourself and the team.
As Financial Controller, your remit will include the delivery of the monthly management accounts, budgeting/forecasting, performance/financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations and when required you shouldn’t be afraid to get involved in the transactional finance activity.
What you’ll need to bring to the role:
The role is ideally suited to a finalist/newly qualified but we’re not too fussy about qualifications, if you have plenty of demonstrable experience, we are happy to consider your application too. What you will need to show us is that you can motivate a team of finance colleagues with a nurturing but empowering style of leadership. A willingness to “get your hands dirty” on the day-to-day tasks and passion for continuous improvement will be welcomed attributes.
Ideally, you’ll have previous experience of using Sage and/or Xero and you will need to know your way around MS Excel to Sumifs, nestedifs and Xlookup level. As with any part-time role, your time management and prioritisation skills will be instrumental to your success. The activity of the finance function is pivotal to our client’s success and to ensure they continue to deliver a first-class service to the wider business your communication and stakeholder management skills will need to be exceptional too.
What’s on offer
Our client is offering a base salary of £40,000 - £45,000 (FTE) and many benefits that include health plans, flexible working (Home/Office), enhanced holiday options, savings vouchers and without a doubt one of the most extensive employee-wellbeing programme I have come across in 20 years recruiting. Perhaps just as important, our client offers you the tools and support to ensure you can make a real difference.
