Finance & Office Manager – Maternity Cover (12-month Contract)
£40,000 - £45,000, PHC, Contributory pension, Bonus (on completion of assignment)

We are currently recruiting with a client who would put such skills to great use. Their current Finance & Office Manager is about to commence a period of maternity leave, hence they need someone to step into her shoes for this 12-month contract.
Our client is the UK subsidiary of a £Multi-million, a technology-focused group that employs over 2700 employees across the Globe. Reporting into the UK Managing Director, your task will be to guide a team of 5 direct reports through the next 12 months, getting involved in a broad range of activities, typical of those encountered in any SME environment.
As Finance & Office Manager you can typically expect to:
- Prepare the Monthly and Quarterly accounts for the Parent company.
- Prepare the annual financial accounts including coordination of annual audit and filing.
- Maintain General Ledger, journal posting, Balance sheet reconciliations and production of any supporting schedules.
- Adopt responsibility for all HMRC filing.
- Prepare the accurate and timely delivery of payroll information to their external payroll partner.
- Daily supervision of a team of 5 direct reports.
- Monitor and maintain all company stock records including periodic price reviews.
- Act as the company ERP Superuser.
- Ensure the smooth running of the office procedures, covering matters such as facilities/IT.
- Work with the external HR provision to ensure all data protection and HR administration duties are adhered to.
Attributes that appeal:
To be considered for this opportunity our client is inviting applications from experienced Finance professionals who have previous experience of working in similar SME environments. You must first and foremost be comfortable across all areas of finance but equally, have the previous experience of having to deal with many non-finance responsibilities too. As a pro-active decision maker, you will need to be highly self-motivated and be comfortable working under your independent initiative at times. If you are working towards (or qualified already) a recognised Accountancy qualification it would be a distinct advantage. As would any previous experience of working with MS Dynamics.
What they offer:
In addition to a salary of £40,000 - £45,000, our client is offering a 5% retention bonus for the successful completion of this maternity cover. They also offer a 7.5% contributory pension, Private Health Care (after a probationary period) and 23 days holidays.
*Whilst home-based working features quite highly at the moment due to the Covid restrictions, this opportunity will require you to spend some office-based time (when safe to do so).
