Accounts Assistant - 6 Month FTC

We are delighted to be work with a regular client to help them in the recruitment of an experienced Accounts Assistant. Despite Covid, things have been going from strength to strength for our client. They have continued to deliver impressive growth results throughout, things are showing no signs of slowing up either!
Things are so busy, they are looking to bring on an experienced Accounts Assistant to help them in the run-up to the August Year-end. Such as been the pace of their growth, that’s this position may extend beyond the initial 6 months. The last addition to this team started this way and has recently been promoted to a permanent role.
What you’ll be involved in:
In this position, you’ll be supporting the Financial Controller in a broad range of day to day activities including, Purchase ledger, expenses, Bank reconciliations and processing journals as well as offering your support to a very busy pay and billing team. It’s going to be a busy time for you.
What they’re looking for:
Experience is key, although training can be offered on their accounting system (Xero, if you used it already, it would be a bonus!), they would ideally like you to be familiar with the day to day activities of a busy finance function. Your ability to juggle a broad range of responsibilities and switch from one focus to another will be put to great use here.
What’s the business like:
Our client has a strong reputation for employee engagement, creating a great environment to work. It’s a relatively newly formed finance function and has just relocated into newly refurbished offices that are amazing. Their office is located in quite a rural location, having use of your transport will be essential to be able to access their premises (Parking is available).
Working hours will be 8.00 am - 5.00 pm Monday - Thursday and 8.00 am - 3.00 pm on a Friday. *This role will be 100% office based*. Although initially until the end of August 2021, it’s potentially an opportunity that will lead to long term employment.
